Patriots Cup Champions

The 95 Ladybugs participated in MSC United 26th Annual Patriots Cup this past weekend. Playing in the 94 age bracket, the Ladybugs opened pool play with a 3-0 victory over Scottsdale 94 Blackhawks Red. Kayla started the scoring just 3 minutes into the game, Kelly made it 2-0 just before half and Hannah closed out the scoring with a late second half goal. In the second game, the Ladybugs score 3 first half goals for a 3-1 win over TSA 94 White. In the semi finals, Kayla scored the game winner on a cross from Stephanie midway through the second half. The 1-0 victory over Mesa 94 setup a rematch with TSA for the championship. Kelly made it 1-0 on a cross from Stephanie in the 22nd minute. Just befor half, Sara hit the back of the net for a 2-0 halftime lead. Kelly finished the scoring 11 minutes into the second half on a cross from Kayla. The 3-0 victory was Kate's third shutout of the tournament and marked the second time the Ladybugs have won the Patriots CUp Championship.
