2009 Las Vegas Turkey Shoot Champions

The 95 Ladybugs traveled to Las Vegas over the Thanksgiving holiday for the 27th Annual Las Vegas Turkey Shoot.
The Ladybugs opened pool play with a 4-0 victory over Downtown Las Vegas SC 95 Gold (NV). Kelly and Brenna provided the scoring with 2 goals each. In the second game, the Ladybugs scored 3 second half goals to earn a 3-3 draw against Impact Black (UT). Rachel S. scored a pair of goals and Kelly hit the game tying goal with 7 minutes remaining in the game. Rachel R. provided the scoring in the third game with 4 second half goals against Neusport FC 95 Gold (NV). Kelly, Brenna and Kayla assisted in the goals as the Ladybugs won 4-0. The Ladybugs finish pool play with a 1-0 victory over Nevada Elite 95 Blue (NV). Rachel S. scored the only goal 19 minutes into the game and Kate recorded her third shutout of the tournament. In the finals, the Ladybugs faced Chila Vista Rangers Red (CAS). Brenna recorded the first goal 13 minutes into the game on a long pass from Kari and a cross from Kayla. Rachel S. scored the game winner at the 29 minute mark on a cross from Kayla. The 2-1 victory earned the Ladybugs their second consecutive championship in Nevada.
