Ladybugs looking at national stage

Currently ranked first in the state, the South Bank 95 Ladybugs White girls' soccer team is building for success on a national level.
The Ladybus, ranked 47th nationally, reached the semifinal of the Irvine Nike Harvest Cup in Orange County in late November and the finals of the Las Vegas Mayor's Cup in late October.

2008 Las Vegas Mayor's Cup

The 95 Ladybugs White reached the Championship game in the 2008 Mayor's Cup in Las Vegas. The Ladybugs opened the tournament with a 3-2 victory over Players SC 95 Blue scoring 3 goals in the final 15 minutes. Dakota started the flurry, Rachel S tied the score 2 mintes later and Kiley hit the game winner in the final two minutes of play. The Ladybugs finished pool play against the defending Utah State Champions, Sparta United 95 Premier. Down 0-1 late in the game and needing a win or tie to advance, the Ladybugs changed their formation to pressured the Sparta's defense.

The 95 Ladybugs Gol defeated CCV Stars 95 Black 2-1 in the Championship game to win the Soccer at the Summit Tournament in Flagstaff. To reach the finals, the Ladybugs defeated Ft. Lowell 95 (2-1) and tied Arizona 95 Thunder Gold (0-0) and FC Las Vegas 95 Copa (2-2) in pool play.

Ladybug Invades Spain

Dakota scored two goals in the second half to lead ODP Arizona over Lezo Allerru K.J.K.E. The 2-0 victory came in the opening game of the 2008 Donosti Cup in San Sebatian, Spain.

Sahuaros Hall of Fame

June 10, 2008

Ladybugs Soccer congratulates coach Manoel Coelho for his induction into the Arizona Sahuaros Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place at halftime of the first round game of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup between the Sahuros and the Seattle Sounders at Grand Canyon University.
